Details

Whether it’s for getting around town, recreation or pure pleasure, Trek's Skye S is the right choice when you want to cruise the pavement or dirt. It boasts a great-riding, lightweight aluminum frame with a ton of standover clearance and a relaxed, upright riding position you'll love. Size-appropriate wheels deliver an awesome ride in every frame size. Leading the way, a 75mm-travel suspension smooths the bumps, and lessens the learning curve. Plus, this versatile ride sports 21 easy-pedaling gears, disc brakes that keep you in control, quality Bontrager components and a comfy women's saddle.

Trek's WSD bikes feature women's-specific frames, suspension and components for a wonderful, custom fit and amazing ride. For example, the frames sport short top tubes, tall head tubes, steeper seat-tube angles and decreased head angles. Plus, suspension forks are fine-tuned for light riders. These details ensure top-notch handling, comfort and pedaling efficiency. Complementing the great ride are proportional crankarms, anatomic saddles, narrow handlebars, short-reach controls and small-diameter grips. Take a test ride and experience the WSD difference!

I park my car and get all my shopping done on my bike in the nice weather... Even with my baskets on the bike it's still very easy to pedal.

Comments:

Feels great, only issues are the clunky plastic pedals, going to upgrade them. Already got a better seat with gel. Still feel the rear is a bit rough, but might be because I am overweight. Going to get a thud buster to help the booty. I am 5'8" and have a 17, fits perfect. check out YouTube for proper seat height, feet should not touch. The 29 " wheels feel great, rolls right over things.

Comments:

Older woman who wants to ride on dirt roads. I am having trouble touching my toe down. but not much room to drop down into the cockpit either. Saddle is tiny, sit bones are not supported...almost for a child. Horrible cheap seat! Bike is a solid frame, so I will upgrade the seat and gears if I can learn how to hold the thing up at when I stop.
