Haibike has combined the power of the Yamaha drive with the white-knuckle fun of Enduro riding to create the SDURO Nduro RX. The smooth-yet-powerful assistance offers a pure off-road feeling on all trails, while allowing you to tackle difficult climbs or barrel through big obstacles with abandon. The Yamaha drive's Zero Cadence feature ensures you immediately feel the power of the assist when you begin to turn the pedals, and a high quality Shimano Deore/SLX drivetrain ensures excellent performance. 27.5-inch DT Swiss rims and Schwalbe tires roll smoothly through the technical sections of your favorite trails, and a RockShox Monarch rear suspension and a RockShox Yari RC front fork keep you pinned to your most aggressive lines.
Yamaha's mid-drive motor system's overall theme is "smooth and powerful". It uses a torque sensor that detects pedaling power, a speed sensor that detects the bicycle's speed, and a crank sensor that detects the number of rotations through pedaling to create an organic feeling of assist.
-Lightweight, compact 400Wh battery that can be charged on the bike, and be locked to the frame
-Zero Cadence Support ensures the system will engage at the first pedal stroke with lively, powerful assist
-Four power modes (OFF, ECO, STD, HIGH) let you choose the level of assist that you're feeling at the moment
-Navigate through a ton of metrics on the bright, easy to read display with the handy control unit
The center of rotation on a full suspension bike is typically located behind the chainring (A). This creates a smooth wheel path, minimizes pedal kickback, and stabilizes the chain. This same design creates problems when used with a motor (B); it creates a wheel path that increases pedal kickback and lengthens the wheelbase significantly, causing the bike to stiffen up against obstacles and handle poorly.
Haibike's engineers created the SES (Sprocket Equalizing System)(C), which separates the chain from the chainring by guiding the chain over a pulley wheel that is located directly on the swingarm pivot point. This decreases pedal kickback while preserving a short, sporty wheelbase and quick handling.
