I am not a avid biker, however, this bike has gotten me to enjoy the sport much more in the last two months . I am 52 and exercise 3 or 4 times a week and wanted more cardio that I could enjoy outside of the gym. I take a couple of 5 to 8 mile trips during the week (evenings) to relax and take a 12 to the longest so far 18 miles on the weekends which is not a ton but a really good ride for me now. The Trek 7.5 is the best bike I have ever owned and I have really enjoyed it even more than I thought. I have gotten more use to the seat and the more upright position works well for me. I am not a small guy at 6' 2" and 240 lbs. but this bike is fast, responds well and stops quick, shifts really smoothly, and the black bike just looks really good. I feel strongly this was a good choice for me and this bike is of such good quality that I can grow as a rider a whole lot before I would ever need more . Thanks to Bike Barn and Trek for my new enjoyment every week !

I just began riding my bike again this year. I decided to retire my 22 year old mountain bike for a 7.5 FX. I am very pleased with my decision. The bike is very nice. The ride is very smooth with minimal vibration. It is an extremely quiet bike as well. This is by far the nicest bike I have every owned. I weigh 250 lbs. and the bike supports me just fine. I still need to get used to the flex saddle but that will come with time. I even installed clipless SPD pedals and riding is fun again. I chose the color black. I have received many compliments on the bike. But that is just a nice side effect for a great bike. I plan to purchase the Bontrager Node 2 computer and the SpeedTrap sensor (the sensor fits inside the fork of the 7.5 FX). I have been looking at buying a new bike for the last 4 years. I always liked the 7.5 FX. Why did I wait so long? The only negative is Trek decided to change the Flex Form Saddle for the 2010 model,it no longer accommodates a saddle bag with a clip. No big deal. I can't wait to ride it again.

Purchased this 7.5 FX a few weeks ago, had been riding a Trek Navagator 2.0 and wanted to step up a level. I was not quite ready for a road racer yet and this one fits my needs. Very fast, comfortable and gets noticed where ever I go. Thanks Trek, another great product.

Upgraded from a base hybrid. Picked the 7.5FX over the 7500...and very satisfied with the choice. Much smoother and faster ride. My only negative (and what keeps it from getting a "5" are the brakes. Overall, great bicycle I will enjoy riding for years to come.

So glad I chose this bike over the Specialized Sirrus. Smooth comfortable ride, lightweight, and its FAST. The brakes could be better but its definitely not a deal breaker.

This is a great midrange hybrid. It has the best of road and LIGHT off road. Light off road is like pea gravel. I really like the fact that I can do group rides on the weekends with avg speed of 19-20 and go for a nice casual ride with my daughter with the same comfort level on both. I put some bar ends on it so my hands wouldn't go numb and swithched the pedals to clipless/grocery getters. Each stroke of the pedals give you great forward motion. The saddle is great too, I usually wear some kind of bike shorts on anything over 15mi but you don't really need to. I've read alot about the poor breaks. I haven't had any trouble with them, when I need to stop I stop. Not really sure if it would be safe for everyone if they stopped on a dime. Overall I don't think you can beat the Price, Quality, and Comfort of the FX 7.5 Now get out there and RIDE!

Awesome Bike! Great for around town and running errands, Really great for getting out on the road and pounding out the miles, This bike has what it takes to hang with the big boys. 27 speeds allow real cruising on the highway and you have no problem keeping up with the road bikes and the flat bar set up allows for a comfortable low profile ride. Perfect bike for all of my needs[...]! I couldnt be happier.

I just purchased the bike about 2 weeks ago. Wanted a hybrid for commuting about 25 miles. It is a real pleasure to ride and I look forward to it every day. Wish I lived where I didn't need a car. Seat is uncomfortable, but probably my inexperience and large butt, not the bikes fault. Trek did a nice job on this bike.

love this bike, got rid of my old 7500 and realized how much more enjoyable casual and exercise riding can be without the extra weight. I also found the geometry very comfortable. I don't miss the front and seatpost shock at all. My dealer, Maple grove cycle, did a great job fitting the bike to me, found out my old bike was too small hurting my wrists and putting too much pressure on my tail. Only upgrade I made was to a shimano dual pedal so I can clip in or use regular shoes.
