Trek's Slash 7 27.5 is made for gravity riders who aren't afraid of a little pedaling. The super stiff aluminum frame charges hard with a tapered head tube and Trek's proven ABP rear end that has been beefed up with a stout 142x12mm axle. With 160mm of suspension, you're emboldened to push it past the envelope and come out clean on the other side. Because you usually have to climb to the top, the Slash features a RockShox Monarch Plus DebonAir shock and Full Floater suspension that supplies an efficient pedaling platform. On the way down, the suspension devours everything from braking bumps to overshot transitions with almost bottomless travel. Key specs include the a big 160mm Pike, tubeless-ready Bonty wheels, SRAM 2x10 gearing and Shimano brakes.

Trek's EVO link
Trek's EVO rocker link is a one-piece, magnesium linkage that drastically increases rear-end stiffness and decreases total frame weight, too.

Trek’s premium lightweight aluminum is continuously cold extruded and butted at multiple points for ultimate weight reduction and superior strength. Frames built with Trek’s Alpha Platinum aluminum are hydroformed to create the most sophisticated shapes for the lightest weight, and are finished using their smooth-weld process.

Trek's E2 head tube is 1 1/2 inches in diameter at the bottom and 1 1/8 inches at the top. This maximizes front-end stiffness for awesome steering precision and control, while allowing the use of standard 1 1/8-inch stems and not adding much weight.

For every full-suspension mountain bike that they sell, Trek donates $10 to the IMBA to help build new trails. Join the IMBA today!
