    Comments:

My 7 year old son had been riding a Trek Jet 20 single speed bike with coaster brakes and one rear hand brake . Riding on the greenway with me he would be pedaling all he had to stay with me on my Trek Marlin 29r .One day after riding 6 miles on the greenway we stopped in the bike shop to check out some bikes. He loved the color and look of the MT220 but he had never ridden a 24" wheeled bike or one with gears and just hand brakes. The guys in the shop said it fit him great and if we wanted we could take it out on the greenway and let him try it out. It didn't take long and he had figured out the gears and took the lead. We rode another 3 miles and after that he was in love with it. He wanted it bad enough that he put $100.00 of his own money that he had saved up down on the bike and the bike shop offered us a fair price for his trek jet 20 as a trade in. I paid the difference. I have no regrets and am impressed every time we ride how well he does on it and how much he enjoys it. I know he will be able to ride it for several years and when he is ready to upgrade to a 26" bike he will have a quality used bike that he can trade in or sell out right that will still have a good value.
