Sometimes you get up before dawn to bag a century before lunch, and sometimes the best roads are the least maintained; Trek's Domane SLR will revolutionize how you experience long days and rough roads, making your favorite rides even more memorable. Developed in close coordination with the cobbles-racing master, Fabian Cancellara, this long-range rocket offers a rear IsoSpeed system that allows you to adjust and dial in the compliance based on your terrain, riding style, and personal preference. Trek took endurance-oriented comfort further though, adding IsoSpeed to the front end by decoupling the steerer tube from the head tube, increasing compliance by 10%. Trek knew they had something special in Front IsoSpeed but the effect could be amplified with a new handlebar to address higher frequency vibration, so Bontrager responded with the IsoCore handlebar. Constructed with a continuous inner layer of a thermoplastic elastomer encased in OCLV carbon, the IsoCore handlebar reduces high-frequency vibration by 20%.
The Domane SLR 6 is built with Trek's 600 series OCLV carbon, ensuring low weight and further enhancing the comfort of your ride. The BB90 bottom bracket directs all your power to the road so that you're as efficient as you are comfortable. Bontrager's tubeless-ready Affinity Comp wheels and 28mm-wide R3 tires offer a supple grip through sweeping descents and strength across pock-marked country roads. A full Shimano Ultegra drivetrain gives you smooth, efficient shifting and enough range to tackle the most daunting mountain passes, while powerful direct mount brakes minimize weight. The Domane SLR incorporates hidden fender mounts for those epic Rule #9 days, a 3S chain keeper for confidence across rough roads, and DuoTrap S integration for sleek data transmission. The Ride Tuned seatmast further reduces weight, and the Domane Control Center will house an internal Di2 battery just under the downtube water bottle cage.
Front IsoSpeed provides an additional 10% of front-end compliance over a traditional road bike, reducing hard hits and vibration without sacrificing efficiency or control.
Adjustable IsoSpeed Rear
Adjustable rear IsoSpeed allows you to fine-tune your compliance level to suit your body, ride style, and terrain, providing a greater range of compliance than the previous Domane.
Bontrager’s IsoCore handlebar improves damping of high-frequency vibrations. A continuous inner layer encased in OCLV Carbon reduces vibrations by 20% over standard carbon handlebars.
At the heart of the new Domane is an integrated control center that houses the battery port for electronic drivetrains. The control center is tucked into the downtube for accessibility, aerodynamics, and ease of use.
Ride Tuned Seatmast
Designed for the rigors of pro racing, it’s among the lightest, most comfortable solution for day-in, day-out performance and comfort, however rough the roads or hard the riding.
Power Transfer Construction
Power Transfer Construction helps you get the most out of every pedal stroke by applying more of your pedaling power to the road by optimizing the connection of the head tube, down tube, bottom bracket, and rear wheel.
3s Chain Keeper
The 3s chain keeper is an elegant solution that ensures flawless shifting, even on rough roads and under heavy loads.
Vanishing Fender Mounts
Discreet mounts accommodate full fenders for added utility, and disappear when not used.
Direct Mount Brakes
Direct mount brakes connect directly to the frame to reduce redundant parts and increase overall braking performance without a weight penalty.
BB90 is the widest bottom bracket standard currently available on a road bike. Trek has molded bearing cups directly into the carbon of the frame to allow easy, drop-in bearing installation. This adds up to a stiff and strong junction with seat tube, down tube, and bottom bracket for maximum power transfer with simple maintenance.

The adjustable seat post damper really makes a difference for old bones. I'm 67 years old and still ride hard and long, but this bike makes all that SO much easier. The shock absorbing qualities of this bike are quite noticeable over my old Domane 4.7, which I dearly loved. The components are the same, but this bike is lighter and faster. I'll ride this bike in comfort for several more years (I hope!). While this bike is pretty darned expensive, you do get what you pay for. All in all, I am very satisfied with the purchase.
