Comments:

After not having a bike for the longest period of time, I finally decided it was time to get back out there. Read about this bike and figured it may be the best suited for me. I took it out for a quick spin on the road and it handled well enough for me. Took it on some trails and it was definitely worth the price. The only complaint that I have is the seat. I can't think of many bikes with a truly comfortable seat. Nevertheless, I can't stop riding it.

I upgraded from a $120 department store bike. It has been a while since I had a good bike and didn't want to break the bank. I highly recommend this bike. Decent components (Not top of the line but far superior to what I had). With this bike I can go twice as far as with my old bike. Much lighter and you are not fighting the resistance of bad brakes, hubs excreta. My neighbor is an avid bicycler and was impressed by how light weight the bike was. Shifting has never been smoother. Awesome entry level bike that will surely last a long time. Got it in Chili Red and it looks awesome.

The bike is great for what you pay. I own the Matte Black 2009 version. Only a couple of things I would recommend updgrading. First, the plastic (no-grip) pedals. Shimano clipless work great once you get the hang of them. Second, the disc brakes. Avid disc brakes are exceptional. Enjoy the trails!

This was my first step into mountain biking and from the staff at David's World Cycle it was a great help and didn't just look for the big dollars but a bike that would work for me.

I just bought this bike three weeks ago, and have been hitting the local trails hard. So far so good. Perfect for someone with biking skills but it has been awhile, or just starting out. This is my first Trek, can't wait to upgrade in the future. Also I got the Matte Black, very smooth looking.

I chose to go with the disc brakes, but they leave a little to be desired. I'm 6'2" and 270. I was expected more "stop" from the discs. Other than that it is a blast to ride
