2016 Specialized P.3

Specialized's P.3 has an enviable lineage. It has been, and still is, ridden by some of the best slopestyle, freeride, and progressive athletes in the game. The P.3 delivers a proven ride that doesn't shy away from the big lines. The butted aluminum frame is tough. Tough enough to take more than a few cased jumps, and the progression of learning new tricks. Up front there's a Manitou Circus Expert fork that smooths out overshot trannies, as well as bumpy run-ins. The Truvativ Descendent crank and Pressfit bottom bracket give you the power to carve your way in and out of the big set. And it skims the ground on burly, double-wall, 32mm-wide rims with Specialized's own Renegade Slopestyle tires. If you need to scrub some speed, Hayes Radar hydraulic discs are on board, and Specialized's P-Series components ensure that nothing's holding you back on your way to living up to this bike's lineage.

A brilliant value bike that rules the dirt jumps

    By mumbuff

    About Me

    Comments:

The P3 provides superb dirt jump / slopestyle capabilities thanks to its super low standover, short chain stays and light weight, making this bike flickable and easy to handle in the air. As with all cheap bikes, you do make some compromises in spec, with the P3's argyles being quite clunking, and the pedals being slippery in anything but bone-dry weather (I recommend swapping them for some DMR V8s). Despite these set-backs though, the bike is still excellent value for money, and is a great starting platform for building a top-tier dirt jump machine.

    About Me

    Comments:

Purchased one of these bikes a few months back and haven't been able to put it down since. The fact it's so useable puts a smile on my face every time whether you are going huge down the local jumps or chilling at the skatepark, it's light weight, strong and super stiff would highly recommend one for any level of rider.

This bike is awesome, stiff and light, the components rock besides the pedals that could be a little better and the rear brake works just fine! Best bike I've ever had for sure.

    Great frame with good features

    By JesseD

    About Me

    Comments:

i rode this frame for all of the 2012 season and it was very nice. I enjoyed the inter graded chain devices but i thought the tapered headtube was unnecessary. Geo is spot on for dirt jumping as well! price is a bit steep but excellent product!
