You'll still feel great when your cyclo-computer registers 100 miles on Specialized's Dolce Elite Compact! This easy-riding women's-specific bike features a light A1 Premium aluminum frame and carbon fork that give you an excellent combination of comfort, speed and razor-sharp handling. Zertz inserts in the fork and rear triangle of the Dolce help smooth the ride. The DT Swiss wheels effortlessly sail over the pavement and Shimano's 20-speed drivetrain with compact gearing makes climbing a breeze. Plus, the Dolce comes with a smattering of Specialized's industry-renowned women's components.

Specialized's women's bikes make every ride a blast!

To optimize fit, pedaling efficiency, comfort and control, Specialized tailors the geometry and components on their women’s bikes to feminine physiques. The frames are engineered with smaller-diameter tubes to decrease weight and increase compliance. Shorter top tubes provide a perfect fit and greater stand-over height on small frames allows for easy on/off. And, for a truly custom feel, Specialized includes small-diameter grips, narrow handlebars and women's saddles that make every ride more fun and comfortable than you could ever imagine.

    Comments:

I have recently just began getting serious into biking, and I am not training for the MS150. I looked at a couple of bikes, but I liked this one the best. It is very light and comfortable... even for short people like me! I got the 44 cm. It is a really nice bike for a beginner. I recommend it to anyone!

I used it for my first Tri and it was between the Dolce Elite and the Dolce and I'm so glad I went for the Elite! Especially when riding in the horns its easier to shift with the Elite.

          Comments:

The Dolce's a great entry level road bike for women. Her geometry is tuned specifically for a female rider, and once you try a womens specific bike, you'll never go back. This bike is especially great if you've never ridden a road bike before. She has an extra set of brake levers, meaning you can use whichever are more comfortable for you. You get to sit pretty upright on it, and the seat's really comfortable for a long distance. You'll definately get your miles out of this bike. If you expect to ride avidly, however, you may want to look at an upgraded model. Better to invest in the higher end in the beginning than to wish you'd done so, later.
